Actually, it went down because it makes it more difficult for her to deal with the bitches in question, not because she's letting them get away with it.
The gratuitous personal insults are thoroughly uncalled for and unwelcome, and you need to shut the fuck up and accept being called on what was a needless insult in the first place.
I do the same for mine, especially when they allow people to take advantage of them or simply don't stand up for themselves.
Whether or not it is aimed toward me, it's nice to see your dedication when it comes to friendship; a lot of people would prefer to just 'not get involved' or 'let them fight their own battles'.
However, as it is your journal, I will respect your wishes.
Again, thank you for the warning about the Valenth site, as well as getting the word out and discouraging people to use and/or donate to Subeta.
I do hope they don't get away with treating artists like this, friends with them or not, and whether said artists are okay with it or not. Thanks again.
The main reason I'm prepared to get involved and be the muscle is because of my own experiences. I have a psycho ex who spent several months sending me detailed and vivid death threats against my family and me, and our mutual friends, bafflingly, refused to get involved, even to tell him his behaviour was totally out of line. And it occurs to you, holy shit, what kind of people are these that are okay with someone terrorising a person with such things if it means they're not 'taking sides'?
As it stands, on a more personal level I'm pretty disgusted with the way her friends have treated this situation. The issue with her weakness in the face of friends is that she's been misused and abandoned by so many the moment she stands up for herself, that it becomes a vicious cycle where she doesn't out of fear of being abandoned again. Case in point, DNA actually ditched her because she tried to communicate how much she doesn't enjoy being nothing but an audience for DNA's creative output. She was ignored except when DNA wanted praise for her art or writing. I can't really convey how much I'd like to see DNA miserable, but since the personal situation wasn't one I could reasonably post about, it was kept to the more pragmatic property issues. The other 'friends', IE Keith and Andi... well, they're just not taking it seriously, I don't think. Keith has always been a lazy shit about money and the way his business is run disturbs me in how disorganised it is. I doubt he and Andi will even raise a pinky to tell DNA she's being an obnoxious, selfish, unprofessional slag. Oh, that would be taking sides and we like you both. ... Nice morals there, guys.
